Kitty’s Cleaning knows that you need to worry about your business, not the cleaning. Yet, every business does need to be regularly cleaned.

Cathryn Mazer (Director)

Cathryn, aka 'Kitty', founded Kitty’s Cleaning Services in 2012. After spending some years working as a cleaner she found that there was a need for client driven service that wasn't being met by the sector.

Formerly an art director and set decorator in the film industry Cathryn has always had a passion for physical work and visual excellence. In the film world, she was trained to operate crews on location to create and dismantle set environments to strict specifications.

Following that, a drive to serve others took her to an entirely different part of the employment world - caring for people with physical limitations. This is where she discovered her affinity for cleaning.

The Kitty’s Cleaning journey has been a wonderful adventure driven by a fantastic team who love nothing more than to make our clients happy. The ability to serve the community with great co-workers has been Cathryn’s dream come true.

Katrina Hunia (Staff Manager)

Katrina joined the Kitty’s team in 2016 as part of the cleaning team.  For the 20 years previous to that she devoted her working life to hospitality.  She started managing small pubs, then larger bars in Christchurch and went on to restaurant work.  In the restaurant industry she got her chops as a manager where she honed her staffing and customer service skills.  She’s also familiar with a commercial kitchen and espresso machine.  The proud mother of 3 handsome boys is always up for a challenge.  As Staff Manager she runs all operations with domestic and commercial staff.  She handles staff scheduling, training, development, supervision, quality control, and customer service.  Katrina strongly values a positive culture of peer support as well as health and safety.  Her ongoing mission is to offer a safe, enjoyable working environment for clients and staff.

Juliet MacArthur (Operations Coordinator)

Juliet started with the Kitty’s team in 2016 as part of the cleaning team.  Previous to having her 3 beautiful children she worked in hospitality.  Juliet’s journey started in a bakery, continued in hospitality education, and then went on to management of local kitchens.  As Operations Coordinator she handles assessments, client communication, and staff scheduling among other daily objectives.  She enjoys the challenges of the role and is happy to say Kitty’s is like a second family to her.

Jomas Benfell (IT and Accounts Admin)

Jomas joined the Kitty’s team in 2017 while still in school. His natural acumen was quickly apparent and he spearheaded development of our digital infrastructure. As he integrated into company operations his role became full time in IT and Accounts Administration. His passion and skill regarding all things systems related keeps the Kitty’s admin motor running smoothly.
